In the immediate vicinity of Bruck and Fusch, ski tours to Ronachkopf, Schwalbenwand, and Schusterkogel invite unforgettable experiences. In just a few minutes by car, you can reach other stunning touring areas, such as the Hochkönig ski touring region, or unique combo tours with a cable car ascent to the Hocheiser or Tristkogel.


Cross-country skiing

The snow sparkles in the sun as you glide around the perfectly groomed tracks. Surrounded by a snowy winter landscape, you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and the peacefulness of nature.

Where hikers and cyclists roam in the summer, cross-country skiers glide along the well-maintained trails in winter. The region offers ideal conditions for everyone who loves this sport – with direct access to the approximately 200 km long Pinzga trail and the 4.4 km long Fischhorn trail. A special highlight: After nightfall, cross-country skiing under the starry sky creates a romantic and unforgettable atmosphere.

Starting from the village of Fusch, the trail takes you to the Ponyhof and back, offering a total of 5 kilometers of cross-country skiing enjoyment.

For even more variety and reliable snow conditions, the high-altitude trails in Mittersill – Pass Thurn and Hochfilzen await. The Mittersill High Moor Trail, located at 1,250 meters above sea level, stretches over 22 kilometers and offers breathtaking views of the Hohe Tauern National Park.

Along the way, you will experience the beauty of nature up close while giving your whole body a workout.

Snowshoeing with a Summit View

With snowshoes, you can effortlessly glide through deep snow – and you'll quickly discover the great advantage: they allow you to immerse yourself in the untouched nature without sinking into the deep snow.

A special highlight is the winter hiking trail on the nearby Schmittenhöhe. At around 2,000 meters above sea level, it winds along the mountain ridge, offering breathtaking views of the snow-covered peaks of the Hohe Tauern and the Kalkhochalpen.

For those looking for a fun and sporty alternative to skiing, ice skating is the perfect choice. In Bruck, behind the Gasthof Zacherlbräu, there is a free outdoor ice rink with lighting. Discover your talent on the ice and impress the whole family with your skating skills. There is also a free ice rink next to the elementary school in St. Georgen, weather permitting.

In particularly cold winters, the frozen Zeller See transforms into a unique ice skating paradise. On the vast ice surface, you can enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery and experience nature from a special perspective.

For those seeking weather-independent ice skating fun, the ice rink at the Zell am See leisure center offers the best conditions. There is also a skate rental – perfect for an unforgettable family outing that is sure to delight!

Tobogganing fun for the whole family on the Kohlschnait toboggan run

Tobogganing fun for the whole family awaits on the 3 km long Kohlschnait toboggan run. The hike to the top takes about an hour on foot, or you can take the toboggan express. The toboggan run, romantically illuminated at night, guarantees unforgettable fun and is equipped with its own snowmaking system, ensuring optimal conditions from early December until well into March. A fun hut evening followed by a tobogganing adventure is a must for every winter holiday in Bruck Fusch.
