Conditions of participation 2025
The event is held in accordance with the sporting regulations of the OSK/FIA, in particular in compliance with the guidelines for regularity competitions.
The average speed of the classified run on the Großglockner High Alpine Road must not exceed 30 km/h. Vehicles or participants who fail to comply with this requirement will be disqualified from the competition.
For all participating tractors, a valid inspection certificate in accordance with § 29 StVZO (Germany) and § 57a para. 4 KFG 1967 (Austrian standard) must be presented in advance.
For tractors with a design speed of less than 25 km/h that are not subject to the obligation of periodic inspection, the driver is responsible for ensuring roadworthiness and operational safety. Vehicles with German red 07 license plates are not considered registered vehicles within the meaning of § 82 KFG 1967 and are excluded from participation in the event.
All tractors that do not meet the requirements are not permitted to participate in the classified run and will be disqualified.
Vehicle documents and driving licence must be carried.
- Trailers or similar attachments are not permitted during the classified run.
- Tuned or modified (engine/chassis) as well as structurally heavily modified tractors are not permitted. Tractors must be kept largely in their original condition.
- The minimum age of the tractors is 30 years.
- Vehicles that do not comply with the terms of participation will be removed from the competition before the start and disqualified. There will be no refund of the entry fee.
- Unimogs are not permitted.
- Engines must be switched off when no driving is taking place. “Parked” tractors with engines running are not permitted. This also applies to short periods, such as during registration and refuelling.
- Seats for passengers must be entered in the vehicle registration document.
- Refuelling of the vintage tractor with synthetic fuel at the specially installed filling stations at the communicated times is mandatory.
Throughout the entire event, the Austrian Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) apply. Particular attention is drawn to the obligation to keep to the right and to choose a speed appropriate to traffic conditions. The StVO also applies in parking areas as well as on those sections of the route that are closed to public traffic for the classified run.
Driving the vehicles is permitted exclusively without the influence of alcohol. Police and marshal services are instructed to impose immediate disqualification without prior warning in the event of alcohol misuse being detected.
Disqualification will also occur if, for tactical reasons, heavy braking or stopping takes place before an intermediate timing point or the finish.
Closure of the Großglockner High Alpine Road:
The L 271 is closed to all traffic in the area from the Ferleiten toll station (road kilometre 14.45) to the Fuschertörl (road kilometre 27.6). Despite the road closure, the Austrian Road Traffic Regulations apply to all participants.
Attention: During this time, emergency vehicles, vehicles of the organization and vehicles of the road maintenance authority may be present on the route. It must be expected that these vehicles may also travel against the direction of the participants. Particular caution is required when overtaking other participants.
It is confirmed that, from a medical point of view, there are no objections to participation and that the state of health meets the requirements of the competition (finish at 2,428 metres above sea level). The health-related and other risks and circumstances associated with the competition are known. Participation takes place at one’s own responsibility and risk. Consent is given to any medical treatment that may become necessary.
The event begins with the start signal at the Ferleiten toll station and ends upon leaving the finish area or in the event of withdrawal from the competition. In the event of withdrawal, descent is not permitted during the closure periods of the Großglockner High Alpine Road.
It is declared that no legal claims or demands will be asserted against the organizer, its employees, participating clubs, municipalities or other persons or bodies, insofar as no liability insurance claims exist. Claims for recourse in the event of postponement or cancellation of the event due to force majeure, weather conditions or similar circumstances are excluded.
The announced programme items are provisional. In the event of the cancellation of individual programme items, there is no entitlement to a refund or reduction of the entry fee.
Cancellation policy:
The entry fee will generally not be refunded, even in the event of disqualification. In the case of illness or accident (medical certificate required), a replacement participant may be nominated by the organizer (waiting list) or by the affected participant. In this case, a processing fee of EUR 10 will be deducted. A transfer to the following year is not possible under any circumstances.
The “starter information” handed out with the WM start package at registration must be read carefully. The detailed description of the route – including all possible dangers and risks – must be read and observed by all participants. All loudspeaker announcements before, during and after the event, as well as the guidelines communicated there, must be complied with. The instructions of officials and emergency organizations must be followed without exception.
The transmitted personal data will be stored and used for timekeeping and the distribution of information. Registered participants will receive relevant information prior to the event weekend.
Submission of the registration form constitutes registration for the Oldtimer Tractor World Championship 2026 and acceptance of the terms of participation and organizational guidelines. Registration is only valid in conjunction with full payment of the entry fee. By submitting the registration form, the liability declarations, terms of participation and organizational guidelines are accepted and the accuracy of the data provided is confirmed.
Condition for the team classification:
For each registration for the team classification, the individual registration must be completed. Teams will be assembled on site at the registration office. Teams may consist of a maximum of seven participants. The best four of these will be counted towards the classification.
Official requirements may make changes to the terms of participation necessary. The terms of participation valid at the time of the event shall apply.
The competitors’ briefing is mandatory for all participants and will take place before the start of the classified run in Ferleiten.
